What Is Fastbraces?
Fastbraces® is a state-of-the-art tooth-straightening system that uses a patented triangular design, cutting-edge techniques, and a special heat-activated wire to move the roots of the teeth toward their final positions from the beginning of treatment. This system has been developed and tested over the past 25 years and is now becoming available in countries around the world. It is fast, safe, affordable, and comfortable.
How Fastbraces Works
Your Fastbraces treatment begins with a consultation with Dr. Farrugia or Dr. Vasquez who will take radiographs and pictures of your teeth, which will help them create a customized treatment plan for your special case.
Next, the brace system is applied. The unique shape of Fastbraces allows for movement of the roots of your teeth toward their final position from the onset of treatment, thus completing the treatment from 3 months to about a year, and sometimes in just weeks for those who have bones that respond well.
Once treatment is completed, the braces are removed.
After the Fastbraces technology has been removed, as with any orthodontic treatment, you will need to wear a removable retainer at night or just in the shower for 15–20 minutes every day, as per your doctor’s instructions.
Can adults use Fastbraces?
Fastbraces can be used on patients of all ages. Misaligned teeth can be a problem for children, complicating their oral hygiene and negatively affecting their confidence. Fastbraces can be used on school-age children, teens, and adults, and it comes in both traditional metal and a clear alternative. There is an option for everyone.
How much does Fastbraces cost?
Fastbraces is more affordable than any other braces system and offers increased comfort. The exact final cost will depend on your unique situation and will be determined during your consultation. At Family Tree Dental, we offer a wide variety of payment and financing options that are designed to help you to achieve a straighter smile.
Does Fastbraces really only take 3 months?
Fastbraces takes between 3 months and 1 year to move your teeth to their final position. In some cases, when the bone responds particularly well, patients only take weeks to achieve their desired results.
Can I Get Financing?
At Comfort Dental Care and Orthodontics, we work with through CareCredit® and OrthoBanc® to give our patients payment plans that are flexible and more cost-effective. Additionally, we accept payment by cash, check and credit card.
Will My Flexible Spending Account Cover My Braces?
A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a different kind of coverage that many employers offer. It sets aside a small portion of your paycheck to cover specific medical and dental expenses. After incurring eligible medical fees, you will give your receipts to your employer. The company will reimburse you up to the amount you have set aside in the FSA.
Fast Braces treatment may also qualify for reimbursement and fast braces are a perfect opportunity to use your FSA funds. Speak with your HR Department to make sure braces can be paid for this way. Your FSA account may be just what you need to let you have the beautiful smile you deserve.

How does it work?
Traditional orthodontic systems work by moving the teeth in two stages. Firstly the crown of the tooth is moved into the correct position and then the roots are moved so that the teeth are precisely where we want them. These two stages can take upwards of two years to complete. Fastbraces® offers new and patented technology using a triangular bracket and a square wire to move both crown and root (so the whole tooth) together through the jaw simultaneously. Because both root and tooth move together, the Fastbraces system can get our patients marvelous results in anywhere from 3 months to one year. Some patients start to see results after one month!
